Introduction

In this section you will be able to learn more about Remote Manager itself, its supported platforms and system requirements, license information and abbreviations used, along with release notes for the recent versions.
Most importantly, here you will also find a Setup Guide, which will help you make the required initial configuration and actually launch your Remote Manager.

In this section you will be able to learn about about the features introduced in Remote Manager's recent versions.

Getting Started

This section provides more detailed setup information on specific mandatory tasks which apply to all Remote Manager product packages, such as how to set up a database or configure a static cluster. Where more detailed installation and setup information is needed for a specific package, you may find it in the Product Guides section described below.

Guides

This section is dedicated to the packages featured in Remote Manager, such as System Package, Generic Device Management, REST Device Adapter, etc. Each package is presented through the following perspectives:

• Package Overview - Contains a summary of the most essential features of the described package.

• Installation Guide - (optional) Describes the steps relevant to the package installation and setup.

• User Guide - Presents how to perform common tasks through the management console, working with console commands, etc.

Documentation Conventions

1. For the on-premise related information all file and directory paths refer to the folder where Remote Manager is installed, even if it is not explicitly included in the path. For example, if Remote Manager is installed in the directory c:/Remote Manager, the archive of the framework will be marked as lib/server.jar that stands for the location c:/Remote Manager/lib/server.jar.

2. The Remote Manager program folder stands for the folder in the Start menu which wraps the shortcuts to the applications included in the Remote Manager product.
