Bosch IoT Remote Manager - on-premises
Bosch IoT Remote Manager does not require any personal data for its operation, however, depending on the modules used it might process and store personal data which is sent to it by connected gateways. Therefore, informing end users with regard to potential personal data processing in accordance with the applicable data privacy regulations is a responsibility of the solution provider. The following technical measures are integrated in Remote Manager to support solution providers in the technical aspect of data protection:
- Access limitation. Only users holding the appropriate permissions are able to access the data.
- Data modifiability. Users may add, edit and delete stored data. A limitation is that if some data is not modifiable on the gateway, it is not modifiable on RM either. When data is modified on the gateway, it may be updated on RM automatically.
- Auto deletion. When a gateway is removed from RM, all the data related to it is removed as well. An exception applies to logged data, which is handled separately. Logs can be deleted either manually or automatically, based on time and/or size criteria.
- Data encryption. By default processed and stored data is not encrypted for performance reasons but there is a possibility for encryption if needed.
