2017-10 Migration to Bosch IoT Cloud 2.0
We are happy to report that our team successfully migrated the Things service to the new Bosch IoT Cloud 2.0 (BIC 2) environment.
All customer data from BIC 1 has also been migrated.
The Bosch IoT Things service broker is visible at the BIC 2 marketplace since October 30th, 2017.

2017-07 Fine-grained access control to your Things
Our HTTP API v2 comes with a brand new possibility to control the access to your things: the policy. A policy enables developers to configure fine-grained access control for things and other entities in an easy way.
Are you curious how to declare and manage such a policy? Find the full example at Basic concepts > Policies.
Within a single policy you can define various entries about ‘who’ is ‘granted’ or ‘revoked’ permission on a specific resource.
As soon as you are familiar with the concept, feel welcome to use the interactive HTTP API documentation and just try it out.
Once you have fine-tuned your policy to hide or reveal your thing’s features, you can simply re-use it, by referencing multiple things to the same policy.
2017-04 Service update
Our service update comes with operational improvements for monitoring and rolling updates, as well as various bug fixes.
2017-04 Cross-origin resource sharing (CORS)
Bosch IoT Things service supports cross-origin resource sharing (CORS)
for some whitelisted hosts.

2017-04 We are going open source
We are happy to announce our recent adoption at the Eclipse IoT family. The Things concept will find a new seed in the incubator project Eclipse Ditto https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/iot.ditto.
2017-02 Prototype of AMQP 1.0 and Things integration
For the Bosch Connected Experience hackathon - BCX 2017
the Things service is successfully consuming messages from an Eclipse
server. The Hono server is AMQP
based, thus the messaging complies with our Bosch IoT Things
This is a prototype of the planned AMQP 1.0 binding of the Bosch IoT Things service.
