Overview

The RM Device Management infrastructure uses the Control Unit abstraction for representing devices or other resources accessible from the RM system. Each registered TR-069 device must be presented as a set of control units, therefore enabling application to access them through the generic APIs of the RM.

TR-069 Device will be represented with a single Device Root control unit and a set of Device Component control units.

Device Root Control Unit

tr069.device - Represents TR-069 devices registered in the RM. This control unit encapsulates general information about the device as its manufacturer, OUI, serial number, etc. Complete documentation is available in the TR069 Device section of the Control Unit Reference Documentation.

Device Component Control Units

These control units represent the parameters structure of a device and the software modules running on it in case it supports SMM, part of TR-157 amendment 3 from the Broadband Forum.
