Virtual demo device

The new virtual demo device enables you to evaluate, learn and demonstrate the Bosch IoT Suite without the hurdle to buy a specific hardware.
All you need is a browser or a smartphone to exercise the new getting-started tutorial Device connection - demo device, which uses the virtual demo device.

You learn how a device is provisioned and connected, how telemetry data is ingested, and how commands can be sent to control the device.

Once you have provisioned the virtual demo device using the corresponding Vorto model, open the Information via the blue box in the thing details.

Then, you can either open the virtual demo device in another browser tab, or by scanning the QR code with your smartphone.

Notifications

The developer console now provides notifications, which inform you during your session.

The bell icon in the header shows the number of notifications, and a click on it opens the list.

When you mark a notification as read, it will be deleted.

Accessibility and design was improved

Colors, contrast and design were optimized to improve the accessibility of the Bosch IoT Suite Console, and to achieve a unified styling with other Bosch web UIs.

In case of errors, not only the error message but if available, also additional information - like a description and links to related documentation - is provided.
