Its steps can be fulfilled with a simulated device which is available with your subscription.

This tutorial is also ideally suited for demo and training of non-developers.

Device connection - Virtual demo device

Hello World

In this tutorial you learn how to register and manage a virtual Hello World device.

While the demo is all prepared, and the other tutorials teach you how it works with real hardware, here you can basically get familiar with our API.

For the sake of simplicity, we will use the HTTP API only, thus you will be able to complete all task in a browser.

Best results are achieved when doing ALL steps in the proposed order.

Octopus

If you try out the Octopus tutorial, you will either need a real device, or work with it's simulator.

To get the hardware running, you will need to work with Arduino.
